Wren boys fall to Hanna, 89-78

ANDERSON—The hole was too deep.

Wren’s boys basketball team fell to Hanna 89-78 Friday night, despite outscoring the Yellow Jackets 56-49 in the second half.

Hanna had take a 23-9 lead in the first quarter, then improved that to 40-21 by halftime.

Wren’s Demetrius Babb led all scorers with 27 points, followed by teammate Austin Anderson who put in 24 points. Dustin Wright added 20. Others scoring for Wren were Brad Gunter 4, Tyler Jackson 2 and Jordan Phillips 1.

Lewis Sheridan led Hanna with 21 points, hitting six three-point shots. The Yellow Jackets hit 15 three-point shots in the game,compared to Wren’s 5.

Wren will host Greenwood Tuesday night.
