Dear Editor:

Perhaps no season of the year is a more vivid reminder of new life than the spring. Thanks to the sun and rain nature is able to come to life all around us. As I’ve been watching this happen I have been reminded of a similar process that has been occurring all year in the lives of children in foster care as foster parents shower them with unconditional love, care, and support – all the ingredients they need to flourish.

In our Christian foster home licensing program in the Upstate of South Carolina, Miracle Hill Ministries has been watching this process unfold in our work with our 59 licensed foster families. We continue to marvel at the transforming impact foster parents have on the lives of the children temporarily placed in their care. I would like to thank our families and every foster parent in South Carolina for their selfless service and dedication to providing foster children with the nurturing they need to thrive. Thank you for often doing a difficult and thankless job, but one which is much needed throughout our community. May God bless you as you minister “to the least of these.”

With appreciation,

Daniel Ullrich

Foster Home Recruiter, Miracle Hill Ministries

As a foster parent with Miracle Hill, let me say "thank you" for recognizing us! It is sometimes hard, exhausting, painful, & thankless, but those children seeing what it's like to sleep in a bed, have clean clothes, & most importantly, feel, safe, loved, taken care of far exceeds all the "ugliness".
